Leptometopa niveipennis
Biology:
In Greece only one specimen was collected in June/July in a Malaise trap; 190 m.
Specimens have been collected on flowers, in a cow stable, on sheep faeces and in a nest of Parus major. Leptometopa niveipennis has been reared from herbivore faeces.
Diagnostic description:
Anterior margin of frons yellow red; anepisternum setulose; wing white
Black except for yellow anterior third of frons, face, gena and palpus, tips and bases of femora and tibiae and basal tarsomeres, especially on fore leg. Fore coxa more or less yellow, too. Haltere yellow, wing milky white.
