Milichiella punctata
Differs from congeners in the combination of grey microtomentose frons and thorax with dark spots, as well as the shape of the surstylus and S5.
Male coloration and vestiture: frons grey, ocellar triangle and orbital and frontal plate grey microtomentose, shiny black spots at bases of orbital and frontal setae, small black spots at bases of interfrontal setulae, lunule black, basoflagellomere black, face greyish microtomentose, palpus black; thorax with mesonotum grey microtomentose with brown spots at bases of setae and setulae, indication of 4 brown stripes anteriorly, scutellum same, pleura brown microtomentose except for shiny spots on an- and katepisternum, wing hyaline, veins brown, brown spot at tip of vein R1 weak, calypter hyaline with brown margin, halter black, legs black except for yellow narrow bases of tibiae and tarsal joints, fore and hind tarsus with yellow brush; abdomen with T2-5 silvery microtomentose except for posterolateral corners of T5.
Morphology. Head: frons with 2+0.8 orbital and 2 frontal setae, anterior frontal seta medioclinate. In males frons 2.4x as wide at posterior margin than at base of antenna, arista about 4.5x as long as basoflagellomere wide, pubescence on arista very short, posterior eye margin with wide notch (7oc) and narrow emargination (2oc).
Thorax: 3+1 dc, 3+1 prsc, 1 pprn, 1 prs, 2 keps setae, posterior prsc about as long as posterior dc, seta between posterior prsc and posterior dc present. Wing with vein R4+5 and M1 weakly converging (1.6), and ultimate section of vein M1 2.4x as long as penultimate section. Fore femur slightly stronger setulose, tibial organ absent.
Male abdomen: posteromedial triangular projection of T1 into T2 present. Tergal chaetotaxy: T2 anterolateral corner with 2-3 lines of setae, T2 posterior margin with 2, T3-4 with one row of setulae, T5 posterior half setulose. S5 1.6x as long as wide, 1.5x as long and 3.9x as wide as S4, triangular, posterior margin indented, with long setae, strongly setulose at posterior margin. Male genitalia with apical seta on cercus longer than epandrial setae, 1 seta on subepandrial plate, surstylus 0.6x as long as epandrium high, not bent, slightly dilated apically (1.3x), 2.3x as long as wide, structure of lateral surface smooth, medial surface with some thin setulae at anterior margin.
